[FIX] Far Cry 4 Black Map & Black Shadows Problems

So I got my copy of Far Cry 4. And I am really impressed with amount of modeling, graphics and efforts taken in this game. The thing which is worth mentioning is that game has inherited a lot of things from its predecessor still it remains to be interesting and hooks you up with it.
Animals, enemies and the detailing giving on every thing is simply amazing. Loved it. 
Being Indian, I found many aspects from my country which were induced in the game and it felt like home playing it.

However as I was playing I noticed that the Map given in the game was not visible, it was completely black. At first I thought it might have been black since I have just started and someone is yet to give me a map. Like in Pokemon leaf green. But it wasn't so. I then found out that it was actually a bug and can be removed by doing just one simple thing.

1. Black Map

Here is a simple and easy tutorial on fixing Black Map in Far Cry 4 -

1. Open the location where your game is installed.
For e.g mine is - E:\Games\Far Cry 4

2. Inside the game folder open the folder named data_win32
path would be like this - \Far Cry 4\data_win32

3. Here you would find two files named patch.fat and patch.dat
DELETE them
or MOVE them into a backup folder if needed later.

The map would be visible without any problem now.

2. Black/Dark Shadows

To Fix the black shadows in Ambient Occlusion settings SSBC and HBAO+
you need to put the lightning to Low
It can be done by doing this -  
Options - Video - Quality Settings / Lighting / Low


Other than this there aren't any problems, so just enjoy the game. Also as a sidenote, the game has 2 different paths, to follow a girl named Amita or to follow a guy named Sabal, so indirectly you afre getting 2 games. I am gonna follow Amita first, of course :-P
