Tips When Buying from eBay.IN

| | Leave a Comment

eBay.in is one of the oldest online retailers. I can remember the time when my father bought his first phone, which was a Motorola W220, but when he was buying, I saw that all the BlackBerry dummy handsets were given a wallpaper with eBay's logo in the background. That was the first time I saw and heard about eBay.
Right now I have done some minimal shopping on eBay. If to be counted, I have bought just 7 items from here. This is because, I have been a fan of flipkart and have shopped for more then a hundred things from them. So here are some tips I would like to tell you about shopping from eBay.in

1) Always prefer Flipkart or Amazon first

You might have seen some really good headphones on eBay.in. I would highly recommend you to search for the same on flipkart. The reason for this is that whatever the mishap be, it can be easily reported and processed on. On eBay it might be a little difficult because you are handling 4 different people - the Seller, PaisaPay, Courier, and the Site. On flipkart all the four are the same, that is flipkart itself. Also you can tension free about the products you buy as I personally have bought more then hundred objects, and not even 1 has been faulty or broken. I once got a pair of pants but I decided not to use that color as I look ugly in it. So I returned it and got another pant of different color (It didn't suit me either, but that's because my legs are very adorable). This took me no more than a 5 clicks to do.

2) Select the Buyer with the 'Top Seller' badge

Sellers on eBay are given a rating from their buyers. Once this reaches a certain no. the seller receives the 'Top Seller' badge. This means that the seller has done many deals and hasn't failed at all or even if he has it has been very less. Buying from a seller with such a rating would make the fact sure that the seller is not a fraud.

3) Buy products which don't need returning

Don't buy products like apparel, clothing and stuff which would need returning. I am mentioning this because many sellers don't cover the returning policy. You might end up with a product you never wanted. This could be nightmare if you buy something expensive like Nike Shoes or a Denim.

4) If shopping online for the first time, go for Flipkart or Amazon.

Flipkart and Amazon are the two very interesting online retailers if you want to buy online. They are very easy to use, have the option of  Cash on Delivery which many eBay sellers don't provide. Moreover they are companies and not short time sellers. Also they provide a fantastic Customer Support as they have call centers. eBay users seldom give their phone numbers, which is one of the things I have noticed. These sites will be a wonderful experience for the first time shoppers.

Other then this I would like to tell you that Online shopping can be wonderful. But it also depends upon the choices you make while you do it. Best of Luck with your
